Le projet est né de la collaboration entre l'Istituto di Tecnologia delle Membrane (ITM) du Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche (CNR) et l'Université de Rennes 1, et a donné lieu à la publication d'un article sur le Journal of Membrane Science et plusieurs actes de conférences :
